Those beautiful “and edible” violas and their whimsical faces always gladden the heart as the last winter snows melt away and the first signs of renewed life spring forth from the slumbering soil. What’s not to love?
We offer a selection of violas which are internationally bred for heat tolerance. These babies will bloom all summer long given minimal care. A weekly watering with a good “Flowering” plant fertilizer and the occasional “Haircut” if they get leggy.
NOTE: The “True Perennial” varieties lack the long bloom season of their annul cousins, but they return year after year in greater numbers. They excel at naturalizing.
Our longtime customers report that the annual varieties we offer indeed do bloom right through the heat of summer and keep going into the fall and even early winter flurries. They may also return the following spring when planted in the ground and are in a sheltered position.
